Aaron's Place is the youth programming branch of Overdose Lifeline. We have two youth programs, Camp Mariposa and APEX. Camp Mariposa is a year-round, free mentoring program for youth ages 9-12 who have been impacted by a loved one’s substance use disorder. Youth attend 6 overnight weekends that blend the traditional fun of overnight camp with therapeutic interventions led by clinical staff and trained mentors. We also host family days for campers and their families on the off months when we do not have camp. Our mission is to reduce feelings of isolation by connecting them to a network of peers and mentors and build up healthy coping tools to create thriving. We run a camp location in Indianapolis, hosted at Jameson Camp and in Southern Indiana, hosted at Camp Rivervale in Mitchell, IN. APEX is a mentoring program for teens 13-17 impacted by the substance use disorder of a loved one. Teens meet monthly for an online virtual session and every other month for an in person event.
